Fashionistas Olivia Palermo and Bianca Brandolini D'Adda

I've been obsessing over these pics since I first saw them a couple of weeks ago during my uni exams. Olivia Palermo's and Bianca Brandolini D'Adda's outfits are beyond fabulous. I always love getting fashion inspiration which I can transcend into my own look - usually I'm attracted to glamourous haute couture and can therefore only dream! I love Olivia's ensemble - the black skinny jeans, the blazer, the fur vest, the crocodile clutch and those super cute ballet flats. The perfect fur vest is on my list for next years autumn/winter (We are currently having our Summer in Aus). Thankfully, I can incorporate black skinny jeans, ballet flats & and the perfect brown clutch now. I've been meaning to buy all these items for a while now and these pic are further affirmation that I need them! Olivia's look is classic, yet on trend, whilst maintaining street cred. As much as I found her personality annoying on The City, I can't help but be fascinated by her style. The girl is a master at mixing designer, high street & vintage. Bianca's look is less polished but still fantastic - ahh I want her sun-kissed looking hair & her Peekaboo Fendi Bag. I'm a big fan of taupe coloured scarves too. I've worn my silk Oroton one to death! I want to look this chic on my coffee date catch-ups with friends....

Love this look! If only I could braid hair. Interesting quote too....

All things lace have been in for a while now. Unfortunately, the trend has a become a little tacky thanks to an overload of lace clothing and accessories available in high street stores (sounds better than chain stores). I've been meaning to do a post on lace for a while. Since I have collected so many pics, I thought I'd start with lace tights, which I'm still much a fan of. They are the perfect balance between showing off some skin, but still covering up a little. And they add a bit of an edge to liven up an outfit. It was when I saw the above pic of Chloe that I decided I simply must find a pair of lace tights and get myself a pair of suede ankle boots. I now own both :)  Surprisingly, a great pair of lace tights were harder to find than I thought. I ended up settling for a pair from Sportsgirl which are very similar to the ones warn above by Kasia in the Numero shoot. I was hoping to get something with a larger floral pattern, like the ones worn by Taylor Momsen, but I haven't come across any of the sort as yet.

I want to raid Olivia Palermo's Wardrobe!

Olivia Palermo is one of those girls you wouldn't want to share your workplace with. On The City she comes across as a nasty, petty and self absorbed. After reading an interview with her in Grazia she came across a little nicer but I still wouldn't call her humble. One thing she said is probably very true though - the makers of the show can make you look anyway they want you to appear by what scenes they decide to show. Whatever the case, the girl definitely has great style. Although, I still think a friendly personality is the best accessory you can have to go with any outfit!
