The unpopular PAP Housing Minister Mah Bow Tan has been removed from the new cabinet line-up in the aftermath of the 2011 General Election.
Mr Mah was widely blamed for his failure to control sky-rocketing HDB flat prices which have almost doubled under his tenure. His team in Tampines GRC won only 57.2 percent of the valid votes against relatively unknown opposition candidates.
Replacing Mr Mah is Mr Khaw Boon Wan whose portfolio as Health Minister will be taken over by Gan Kim Yong.
Mr Wong Kan Seng and Mr Raymond Lim will also be stepping down as ministers.
