Called 'Hopeline', the service will help students deal with stress faced by the students and also provide career guidance.
A statement from NGO Snehi said: "The exam results become a social nightmare for students who do not come up to the expectations of their parents. Free and confidential counselling services will be provided from May 16 to May 31. The helpline will be open from 10am to 7pm on telephone number 011-26463336."
"Students can seek help through e-mail also at hopeline98@gmail.com. The helpline is an effective measure towards suicide prevention and promotion of positive mental health," added the statement.
The helpline, in its 13th year, consists of a team of professional counsellors and teachers who have attended to over 50,387 students and 6,837 parents in the last 13 years, the statement said.
The Class 10 examinations of the CBSE were abolished this year, and replaced by a grading system based on internal marking by the schools.
