Anthony Bourdain. No Reservations Cleveland. An Epic Episode.

This episode is particularly radical because it features Harvey Pekar, the famous comic book writer (American Splendor), who takes Tony on a tour of the worlds biggest book store. Later on, the awesome FREE STAMP by Claes Oldenburg and Coosje Van Bruggen is introduced (which I blogged about HERE). Finally, Tony takes a tour of The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame museum with Marky Ramone, and the two dine at Iron Chef Michael Symon's restaurant Lola. The show integrates graphic illustration animation, similar to the style used in Harvey's comics... Cleveland rocks!

Anthony Bourdain's Graphic Novel. DC Comics.

Bourdain is working with novelist Joel Rose and illustrator Langdon Foss to create a graphic novel titled Get Jiro!. It was described as a "futuristic action thriller that takes America’s newfound obsession with exotic cuisine to a manic, violent extreme. It takes place in a world where food and the secrets of how to prepare it, are the source of all power leading master chefs to fight over Jiro, a mysterious top-notch sushi chef with ideas of his own." Dunno bout the plot, but being Bourdain-related, I'll be checking it out regardless.
