It has been freezing in Sydney over the last week or so. Anyone reading this who lives in the far Northern Hemisphere is probably laughing at my prior statement but trust me - it does get cold here! I have been to Europe and Canada in the middle of winter and even my teeth are chattering here in Sydney. That's not to say I don't love the cold weather. I do. Maybe not the cold bit. As for the cute hats, chunky scarfs, beautiful woollen coats and amazing furs - I couldn't love it more :) If only I could actually get away with wearing ear warmers to uni, without people giving me sidewards glances, I would be one incredibly happy, fashion obsessed girl. Naturally then, I am loving this shoot from the latest Vogue Nippon. Those braids and ear warmers for Dolce and Gabbana are super cute! Same goes for those sweet pom-pom jackets for Giorgio Armani. Thanks to Burberry, it looks likes sheep fleece clothing and accessories are going to be the IT style this winter. At first I was hesitant, but as the temperature drops, the trend is definitely growing on me. Back to those ear warmers, I think I'm going to have to get a pair! I can't resist. People can stare all they like.

I love the mixing of basic wardrobe pieces with attention-demanding boots, chain necklaces and studded accessories.  Team these with wavy hair, nude lips and black lined eyes to create a glamourous, yet still rather casual look.

Unfortunately my favourite evening bag broke a few weeks ago - It was the most adorable black silk clutch complete with enormous crystal handles and red lining. May it RIP. I'm thinking this time I will go for something a little bigger and hardwearing. Right now I'm thinking this black leather clutch with pewter studs.

Bambi is my fav model of the moment. She seems to be popping up everywhere, including the Aje Lookbook. She has such an unusual and interesting look about her. Love those grey/green wide eyes and thicker brows. She pulls off that effortless glam, yet grungy look so well.

An Interview with a Special Blowtorch Correspondent

From time to time, I'll be checking in with my cat, Boots with the Fur, to get her thoughts on the playoffs. This is the first of those times.

Me: First of all, thanks for taking the time out of your day to meet with me. I know you're busy laying on the floor, eating, or laying on the floor.

Boots: Meow.

Me: I guess the place to start is with the Bulls. How sad were you when they were eliminated?

Boots: Meeeeeeeeeeow.

Me: Exactly how I feel too. What do you think about Kevin Garnett?

Boots: flexes claws

Me: Yeah, tell me about it. What are your thoughts on all of the flagrant foul controversies?

Me: Really? I haven't heard anyone say anything like that yet. That's enlightening.

Me: Of the teams left, who is your favorite?

Boots: The Nuggets.

Me: Me too, Boots. They're just a lot of fun to watch.

Me: Do you think they have a chance at the title?
