Ben Hubbard's DIY saddle bag.
Designed for the Melbourne Bike Fest 2010 Better By Bike project.
"Once very common, saddle bags are not widely used in current times. A flat tire or loose components in a bike might mean a long walk ahead, though by carrying some tools and replacement items in a saddle bag is an easy and convenient method of being able to repair any unexpected hiccups. It consists of a pre-cut leather pattern, leather thonging for the lacing of the sides and for the connection to the saddle, and instructions on how to go about lacing it together, including different methods of stitching, such as the Whip and the Cordovan stitch."
